Hazardous items include cleaning products\, motor oils\, weed killer\, oil-based paints\, auto care products\, and items like rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. \nHazardous waste can pollute our local waterways and the environment. Our meetings are held once a month all year round. We’d love for you to join us and help give back to our athletes. \nOur next meeting is Tuesday at the high school snack stand\, 7 p.m. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Hammonton Historic Preservation Commission leads guided walking tours throughout the spring\, summer and fall\, March through November. All participants will meet at the Eagle Theatre at 208 Vine St at 1 p.m. sharp. The tour includes stops in both the historic commercial and historic residential districts of Downtown Hammonton every first Saturday of the month\, weather permitting. A $10 donation will support the Historical Society of Hammonton. Children under 18 are free.

The area to be treated (see map) is bounded by North 1st Rd.\, Route 54\, Fourth St. and Pleasant St.\, Grand St. and Wilbur Ave. \nSpraying to reduce adult mosquitoes using ground application equipment will take place on Monday morning\, September 9th\, between 4:30 am and 5:30 am. Ground spraying will be done using Zenivex\, the trade name for etofenprox\, applied as an ultra-low volume aerosol. \nIf weather conditions prohibit the application on 9/9/24\, the alternate date will be 9/10/24. \nThe EPA does not require relocating or taking special precautions during mosquito control spraying\, people may choose to avoid or minimize exposure by: \n\nStaying indoors during application to immediate area\nKeeping windows shut\, window fans and air conditioners off (or set to circulate indoor air) during spraying\nKeeping children’s toys indoors\nKeeping pets indoors\, as well as their food\, water dishes and toys.\n\nFor health information about the pesticides to be applied\, call the Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control at 609-645-5948.
